Welcome, once again to The Establishment of Contemplation!
I write to you today, this evening, and for the period of time you are reading this, an update to the changes in my life as they continue, and the awareness of growth that change is delivering to me. In all of this, I would like to offer that I am hopeful of your experience of change to be eventually uplifting and free you to be blessed and gifted with discoveries of what that change has brought.
I'll share that I had loss and grief and mourning the first week of March as an old family pet passed away. That family pet is survived by 2 other family pets that we hope to enjoy for many more years. Which brings me to my point. My family and I experienced loss and grief and intense mourning for a few days, and we are finally coming out of that time of mourning and now we are beginning to experience a value for the pets still with us. The gift of letting go of the sadness of the older pet being gone is that our time and value is shifted and changed to the experiences and bonding we have with our other pets, bringing us new joy.
I'll also share that the 2nd week of March brought the birthday of my son and his change into Teenage-hood! You might notice the number "13" in the graphic on this post, well, that number is for him! It's also funny that the number is for the day this post was written, as it's Friday the 13th still as I write this.
I'd like you to contemplate with me on several levels and maybe you'll feel encouraged to contemplate or write back or take discussion to your friends and groups on one of these topic levels;
What were the big revelations to you in your Teen years, beginning (13), middle (14-18), or end (19)?
What were the big revelations to you as a Parent in raising a Teenager during those years, beginning, middle, or end?
What advice do you wish you could have given yourself at the beginning of your Teen years?
What advice do you wish Teenagers could hear and understand now about their Teen years?
What do you miss about leaving behind those early growth years?
What do you notice about how much happens in 12 years time?
How much growth and change happened in the past 12 years?
How much growth and change do you think can happen in the next 12 years?
What advice or thoughts do you remember being told from a Parent or Adult to you when you were 13?
I think that should cover it for contemplation about Birthdays concerned with 13 and Teenagers for now.
So I find myself in a new space in life, pets passing, birthdays happening, and my own stopping and contemplating my place and thoughts in all of it at this very moment in time. Have you had moments like this, where so much happens in such a short period of time, that you can't help but wonder, why and what brought all of it to happen all at once? Well if not, this is one for me then, because I can't believe the month has been so busy and so FULL of change that it caused me to stop and contemplate and the Month is only half way complete, I can only be open to what is in the fates and in the plans of my higher power, my God and Creator to lead me through as time goes on. I hope you are able to spend some time with your spiritual self and faith connection to allow change and healing from that change to enter your lives.
The title of this blogtemplation is Maturing Transitions, and I can tell you that I definitely feel like I am in a time of Transitions, and oddly enough I also feel that I have been going through a Maturing process. I know that discussions around the word "Mature" are often used to talk about childhood and teenagers and the change from childhood to adulthood. However I think I am here to tell you as a Thirty-Something man that Maturing is a process that happens more than once, and in more than one area of life, of my life, and of your life. I'm also thankful and grateful for what I am learning in my Maturing process. I hope you bring some of this discussion to your contemplation circles and friends and counter parts and anyone you feel comfortable opening up this discussion with. Maybe you're the non-conformist who opens this conversation with someone you've never talked to before in your life! That would be awesome.
Well my Readers, and everyone I mentioned in the beginning of this post, it's time for me to wrap this up. I hope you are noticing Maturing Transitions in your own lives, and feel free to write me back about your Transitions and send me topics you'd like to see in this Blogtemplation in the future!
Thank you for your time and reading my contemplations, Happy month of March, Happy St. Patrick's Day next week, and other Happy Celebrations to you as you Mature and Transition!
