Blogtemplation: Networking and standing your ground

Dear Readers, People networking in career transition, Go-getters, Friends in career transition, and Fighters for job opportunities,

Today I attended an event in Phoenix that was designed for people in career transition to hear a panel from Staffing Firms about the myths of working with Staffing Firms and the advantages of working with Staffing Firms. It was a great event, I understood the value of Staffing Firms to my job search and I saw the passion for employment that I hoped was there while I am having phone calls and emails with these firms as I search for a job myself. I want to encourage the efforts that people make in getting jobs and searching for long term employment. There are helpful organizations out there, there are people who want to see you employed as much as you want to be employed, and there is HOPE!
My personal search began this week on Monday October 1st and I am already seeing a number of Job Fairs, Networking events, and Employment Seeking events around the Phoenix valley in the month of October. I am excited about all of them, and at the same time I hope that my employment search will be short, as anyone who is searching right now hopes too.
One of the recruiters today told me that it was time for me to stand my ground and seek the long term employment opportunities. After looking over my resume, the recruiter said I had wonderful experience with great companies and it was time for me to be employed long term.
I was encouraged myself and I was filled with the courage that I needed to keep doing everything that I have learned about job searching and career transition.
Keep up the skills, keep up the fight!
Also trust in God and surrender to the care of God as you understand God, I feel like there is peace and serenity to be had for all who are willing.

I'd like to share a Dictionary.com Word of the day.
If you'll hang in here with me, I hope you will see the connection this all has.
The Dictionary.com Word of the Day for October 4, 2018 is tump.
tump: noun [tuhmp] a small mound, hill, or rise of ground.
1. British Dialect. a small mound, hill, or rise of ground.
2. British Dialect. a clump of grass, shrubs, or trees, especially rising from a swamp or bog.
3. British Dialect. a heap or stack, as a haystack.

Origin:
The noun tump has an obscure etymology. It is a dialect word used mostly in the British West Country (Somerset, Cornwall) and the West Midlands (around Birmingham). Tump may come from the Welsh noun twmp "round mass, hillock", unless the Welsh word comes from the English. Tump entered English in the 16th century.

In Biblical relation I would like to share from the New King James Version;
See how the word "mounds" is used in verse 13, that's the cue for how tump relates to this biblical passage.
Joshua 11:12-14
New King James Version (NKJV)12 So all the cities of those kings, and all their kings, Joshua took and struck with the edge of the sword. He utterly destroyed them, as Moses the servant of the Lord had commanded. 13 But as for the cities that stood on their [a]mounds, Israel burned none of them, except Hazor only, which Joshua burned. 14 And all the spoil of these cities and the livestock, the children of Israel took as booty for themselves; but they struck every man with the edge of the sword until they had destroyed them, and they left none breathing.

In the Old Testament there were several examples of siege mounds as the Israelite people would go into battle. Siege mounds were a powerful tool of protection as well as strategy of battle. In this passage the cities that stood on their mounds were not burned by Israel. I wonder if the phrase "Stand your ground" has any relation to this story where the cities were courageous enough to follow directions from God to stand on their mounds if they wanted to be saved from battle. It certainly seems fitting that having courage to stand on your mound and have TRUST that God has told Moses NOT to burn your city if you do this, is an example of how people began to learn about surrender and trust in the God of their understanding. I was told today that I need to stand my ground in my employment search and seek the long term opportunity that it is time for me to have in my career. I'm learning more and more every day to hear God speaking through the people I am meeting, interacting with, and having the chance to talk and share my experience and hopes for my career path, and ultimately the direction of my life. I am thankful for bible passages like this that show me how people have trusted God before, and I am able to have the same experience in knowing I won't be burned when I stand on my mound.
That is your E.O.C. Word of the Day!

Siting a Dictionary.com Word of the Day from March 2016, I share with you:
joie de vivre

joie de vivre: noun. French. A delight in being alive; keen; carefree enjoyment of living. Joie de vivre translates literally from French as "joy of living." It entered English in the late 1800s.

IN BIBLICAL RELATION We have Jeremiah 31: 11-13 NLT
11) For the Lord has redeemed Israel from those too strong for them. 12) They will come home and sing songs of joy on the heights of Jerusalem. They will be radiant because of the Lord's good gifts - the abundant crops of grain, new wine, and olive oil, and the healthy flocks and herds. Their life will be like a watered garden, and all their sorrows will be gone. 13) The young women will dance for joy, and the men - young and old - will join in the celebration. I will turn their mourning into joy. I will comfort them and exchange their sorrow for rejoicing. (NLT New Living Translation.)
This passage could also read "The Lord has redeemed (Phoenix, Huntsville, or YOU!!!) from (those, problems, life's burdens, or addictions) too strong for them." The bible speaks and records specific examples in the historical times that they happened, but today the stories are meant to be for us to relate and make these stories personal to us. We learn to live when we make the bible story our own, and God speaks to our hearts with the help of the Spirit teaching us how to live today and in our own historical moments. Joie de vivre! Delight in being alive, we are to be radiant because of the Lord's gifts to our Spirit and redeemed by the Lord in our lives! Our mourning is being turned into joy, and we have comfort that our sorrow is exchanges for rejoicing.
That's your E.O.C. Word of the Day!

Dear Readers, Dreamers, Friends, Conversationalists, Overseas Viewers, Worldly Travelers and Consumers of Information, and anyone else who takes an interest in this Blog....
This Blog site has come to an end of another year. I know my posts have been slowing and the archives will certainly show how little I have paid attention to this site in 2015. I've come to the end of this 2015 year and I did not accomplish all that I had set out to do. I hope your own reflections of 2015 are more positive and fruitful than mine.
I have been through change this year, much support for my family and their busy events, and I have even become the family cook! There have been many events that have distracted me away from this site and the computer to have time to write.
So if your time has been spent with family, loved ones, or outdoors, then I congratulate you for those accomplishments!
My family and I have decided to attend a new church which is beginning a series called 50 Days of Transformation. I encourage anyone to begin a time of change and transformation. I have written in past years about the power of change and transformation, and I still encourage it today!
I hope that 2016 is a wonderful year for all of you.
Dear Contemplators, I don't know how much of my assignments you have taken to, or if you have tried to read and understand the advice I have given over the years.
If you have been successful in applying some of my contemplations, I applaud you and hope you continue to be successful in your lives!
So it is that I am thankful for this time of year to reflect and start again to pick up the challenge of change and transformation.
May you all do well in your adventures to discover what it is that you enjoy and honor about yourself, and make wonderful strides in the changes that bring you closer to the best version of yourself as you grow and change.
My Best Wishes to all of you, and Happy New Year in 2016.
Thank You 2015 for all the things I learned and contemplated, I hope to take those lessons with me as I continue to grow and change myself.
The Happiest of Celebrations to you all!!!

Happy New Year from

Blogtemplation: The New Rule of 12

Dear Readers, Journalists, Explorers, Dreamers, Planners, Projectors, Inward Viewers, and Many More...
It has been some time since I have written a Blogtemplation to this site, however a day and date have come to surface which brings me back home to the written word I love and have missed expressing to this site. Please forgive me.
Today is December 12th, 2015, or also known as 12/12/15.
This particular date was more impressive when it was 12/12/12, three years ago, however today is the Anniversary of this particular date, in fact the three (3) year anniversary of this date. In memory of dates that have significance like this, I would like to request a Blogtemplation Celebration!
My request to you the viewer, reader, and those who experience this site, and especially the writers out there, please comment and share a story of a significant date to add to the celebration I am requesting we note.
My story is as follows...
There was a significant interest in 12/12/12 because it would never happen again in this century, I am sure there will be a 12/12/12 in 3012, and surely other amazing dates such as 12/12/2112, and others, however I am not sure technology will advance enough to allow me to be in my 130's to see it. My best of luck to those of who discover the medical wonders to live well into your 100's and beyond!
So I share with you that today is a special meaning to me, and therefore I seek to commemorate this day for myself and with you, that I am grateful for the life changes I have made. I am also thankful for the friends in my life, and the people I continue to meet as I grow and develop as a human being on this earth.
I hope that you have the chance to experience positive change and discovery in your life that allows you to appreciate the wonder of life, and the greater purposes in the lives we lead as humans on this earth, and one day I am sure we will have a chance to experience life as humans out in space and on other planets as well. For today the sentiment remains on this 3rd planet from the Sun in the Milky Way Galaxy.
Happy 3 year Anniversary 12/12/12, and if any of you have a significant date that you would like to share a "Shout-Out" or a recognition of, please share it!
Thank you everyone for reading and being viewers of this site.
I look forward to getting back into the practice of adding to this site regularly.

Blogtemplation: Maturing Transitions

Dear Readers, Observers, Activists, Engagers, Conversationalists, Mourners, Life Givers, Newly Teens, Parental Beings, March Madness Fans, Traditionalists, Non-Conformists, and Writers of the Change of your lives,
Welcome, once again to The Establishment of Contemplation!

I write to you today, this evening, and for the period of time you are reading this, an update to the changes in my life as they continue, and the awareness of growth that change is delivering to me. In all of this, I would like to offer that I am hopeful of your experience of change to be eventually uplifting and free you to be blessed and gifted with discoveries of what that change has brought.

I'll share that I had loss and grief and mourning the first week of March as an old family pet passed away. That family pet is survived by 2 other family pets that we hope to enjoy for many more years. Which brings me to my point. My family and I experienced loss and grief and intense mourning for a few days, and we are finally coming out of that time of mourning and now we are beginning to experience a value for the pets still with us. The gift of letting go of the sadness of the older pet being gone is that our time and value is shifted and changed to the experiences and bonding we have with our other pets, bringing us new joy.

I'll also share that the 2nd week of March brought the birthday of my son and his change into Teenage-hood! You might notice the number "13" in the graphic on this post, well, that number is for him! It's also funny that the number is for the day this post was written, as it's Friday the 13th still as I write this.
I'd like you to contemplate with me on several levels and maybe you'll feel encouraged to contemplate or write back or take discussion to your friends and groups on one of these topic levels;
What were the big revelations to you in your Teen years, beginning (13), middle (14-18), or end (19)?
What were the big revelations to you as a Parent in raising a Teenager during those years, beginning, middle, or end?
What advice do you wish you could have given yourself at the beginning of your Teen years?
What advice do you wish Teenagers could hear and understand now about their Teen years?
What do you miss about leaving behind those early growth years?
What do you notice about how much happens in 12 years time?
How much growth and change happened in the past 12 years?
How much growth and change do you think can happen in the next 12 years?
What advice or thoughts do you remember being told from a Parent or Adult to you when you were 13?
I think that should cover it for contemplation about Birthdays concerned with 13 and Teenagers for now.

So I find myself in a new space in life, pets passing, birthdays happening, and my own stopping and contemplating my place and thoughts in all of it at this very moment in time. Have you had moments like this, where so much happens in such a short period of time, that you can't help but wonder, why and what brought all of it to happen all at once? Well if not, this is one for me then, because I can't believe the month has been so busy and so FULL of change that it caused me to stop and contemplate and the Month is only half way complete, I can only be open to what is in the fates and in the plans of my higher power, my God and Creator to lead me through as time goes on. I hope you are able to spend some time with your spiritual self and faith connection to allow change and healing from that change to enter your lives.

The title of this blogtemplation is Maturing Transitions, and I can tell you that I definitely feel like I am in a time of Transitions, and oddly enough I also feel that I have been going through a Maturing process. I know that discussions around the word "Mature" are often used to talk about childhood and teenagers and the change from childhood to adulthood. However I think I am here to tell you as a Thirty-Something man that Maturing is a process that happens more than once, and in more than one area of life, of my life, and of your life. I'm also thankful and grateful for what I am learning in my Maturing process. I hope you bring some of this discussion to your contemplation circles and friends and counter parts and anyone you feel comfortable opening up this discussion with. Maybe you're the non-conformist who opens this conversation with someone you've never talked to before in your life! That would be awesome.

Well my Readers, and everyone I mentioned in the beginning of this post, it's time for me to wrap this up. I hope you are noticing Maturing Transitions in your own lives, and feel free to write me back about your Transitions and send me topics you'd like to see in this Blogtemplation in the future!
Thank you for your time and reading my contemplations, Happy month of March, Happy St. Patrick's Day next week, and other Happy Celebrations to you as you Mature and Transition!

Dear Friends, New and Old Readers, Goal Setters, Life Givers, Dream Makers, Proactive Speakers, Action Takers, The Discussion Minded, The Listeners, The Revolutionists, The Learners and the Wanderers, Welcome to this New Year Blogtemplation!!!

I will admit that I missed writing out at the end of December 31st and the very beginning of January 1st. I am here today to correct that absence of writing and blogging, please accept my humble apology.

It is a wonderful New Year and I have my list of outlooks and challenges that I wish to take up the charge with and on for 2015, whether you embrace the moment to do the same or abhor the tradition of New Year's Resolutions, I hope you have the chance and time to contemplate and discuss with your circles of friends and influences both sides of this activity! There is certainly value in the process of the discussion. I find myself more caught up with a resilient mindset to grow and make more changes in my life and so enjoy the energy of the tradition of the New Year Resolution, not in the labeled format, but in the wave of motion that is presented during this time of year, and a feeling that my reasons and determination to seek my personal list of challenges this year, has some comfort and support in the swell of moving this forward with a strong onset, which I find I often do better and have more success in waves of encouragement, and I'll ride this wave as long as I can take it!

So my viewers and initiators of discussion as well as the open eared and listeners of information, I invite you this year to write me back, comment, let me know your thoughts on any and all of the Blogtemplations in 2015. I hope and wish to open conversation regularly this year and provide opportunities to share wonderful thoughts, inspirations and insight to life. I hope you are willing to respond and reply as well with your thoughts in both agreement and disagreement, and possibly Why you agree or disagree!

I believe there is much potential this year, and I am certainly in support of the changes you both experience and view in the friendships and relationships around you.
Thank you for your time to read this Blogtemplation!

Blogtemplations: Today, Tomorrow, and the next day...

Dear Friends, Awakeners, The Awakened, Transformationists, The seers who believe, the spiritual, the dedicated to meditation, the connected to a higher power, the non-conformists, the rally driven, the persistent, the healed and the healers, to many more and Readers today, Thank You for joining me today!
I would like to start this Blog by sharing how grateful I am today, and what a wonderful practice it is to be grateful for something everyday, and sometimes grateful for 3 things, 5 things, or seeking to discover how many things myself or others could be grateful for each day.
There are many ways to make a day more positive, or uplift an entire day early to be able to carry the weight of the day's stress to come. I have been on a path of learning many of these things, and I hope to pass along what I learn for your benefit, and sometimes even as I am just learning it. I've heard and come to know that the best way to learn something, is to teach someone else what you know or what you're learning. I have found the insights and the new knowledge keep flowing back to me, as I share learning with others.
I'd like to take a moment to reflect....
Yesterday was a day full of reflection for me, and it was significant in a way that held deep personal meaning for me, because it lead me to today, which is an even more deep and personal meaning for me. Yesterday I would have blogged to tell you the importance of tomorrow, and how we have a chance to start fresh to both begin new transformative healthy habits and actions in our lives as well as continue the actions we learned today. It is my hope to learn and share with you with hopes that you are learning and growing too!

Today I knew I was going to write a blogtemplation and I am thrilled to tell you how transformation, change, and growth have brought me to a healthy place I could not have seen before. If you see my posted image you will see a tree on my bandana, which is a symbol as well as a physical reminder. It is actually a tree in my backyard which was struck with a cold frost a few years ago, and from a power within the roots of that tree, it sprang back new trunks and branches to become the image you see there. It's an amazing story for sure, and as a metaphor to life, I believe we each have a chance to revitalize the deepest part of ourselves, let the old parts die out and let new and healthier parts come to a life which sustains and gives us happiness and health beyond our dreams.
I hope you find wonderful metaphors in your life today, and please share your metaphor in your circles of friends and sharing. I would be thrilled to hear your metaphor for life, transformation, change, and growth!
Seek tomorrow and live today the best healthy version of yourself.
Thank you for contemplating with me today.

Blogtemplations: Applying What you Know About Your Self...

Dear Readers, Inward Discoverists, Journey-Selfers, Retreat Warriors, Seekers, Travelers, Rainy Day Ponderers, Sunny Day Adventurists, and everyone who picks up the Challenge, Welcome!!!
Welcome to another Blogtemplation entry and thought progression. Today I submit an October icon of my repetitious bandana and goatee. It's been a few months since I have written and I've felt the fast tempo of life and busy strains of change this year since July of this year 2014. I've become the house cook and Chief Chef to my Family and have even been surprising myself in the creative success I am beginning to see. I'd like to offer several themes for you to drift amongst your thoughts, in no particular order;
Change your Family Roles for a period of time: I've been doing this out of pure need for the remainder of 2014 and through the first half of 2015. It's been rough at first determining who in my family would do what, however there are benefits and rewards slowly starting to show up as each of us is learning to adjust and adapt to our new roles. Don't discount the struggle and frustrations at first, that's called growth! I am sure this won't be the last time I share on this point. My experience is that I'm learning and enjoying success much sweeter when it happens. Try it for yourself and let me know your insights to this experiment!

Attend a Retreat of Faith and Healing: I've attended my fourth retreat recently and while I have started to begin a pattern of going on Retreat approximately every 6 months, they are only for a single weekend, Friday to Sunday, and I find that the time into personal contemplation with my Faith connection continues to do wonders for my soul, my heart, and even my body receives rest and nourishment. There are many ways to find these, I suggest you try one and write me back about your results. I would deeply enjoy hearing about the experience. I hope you share with close friends as well, friendship and stories of personal growth seem to be a successful combination.

My time is short today, and I hope this limited blogtemplation finds you well and encourages you to continue discussing, sharing, and opening up contemplation and wonder in all your circles of life.

Blogtemplations: Mending Relationships

7/22/2014

Dear Readers, Seekers of Forgiveness, Menders of Fences, Humbled Humans, Cleaners of the Conscious, Amenders of the past and present,
I`d like to engage your heart and your mind in today`s thoughts and contemplations. This week it is my experience, and next week it may be yours, or perhaps it was last week or a week yet to come, however it may be, I`m sure that human expperience teaches that moments come when I am either making amends in my relationships with others around me, be them friends, family, or co-workers, OR being asked to forgive another. As I would hope and ask the universe to be forgiven when I ask, this is not always the truth. My learning and job in life is to allow forgiveness space to happen and grow in the direction it so chooses in the human heart. The task of cleaning up my mistakes and making amends with the relationships I have harmed, is life work, and not always possible with everyone. The intention in the heart and coupled or paired with some action that expresses this will to seek to correct thos mistakes, is the important exercise of the spirit and healing of the soul.
So my readers, this is much to discuss and share in your circles, your frienships, your social collections, and your extended life relationships.
Go out and contemplate and discuss, then come back and post your sharing and experiences.

Blogtemplation: Renew, Recover, Revive

6/25/2014

Picture
Dear Leaders, Followers, Readers, Writers, Horoscope Enthusiasts, Realists, Down to Earth Folk, and Existential On-Lookers, Welcome to the Blogtemplation today!

It has been some time since I have written, but I can tell you that it has been an amazing continuing of a Journey I am continuing, which many may call LIFE. I am growing and learning and have acquired a thirst to keep doing more the same! I want to grow more, change more, learn more, and I feel ever continuing lucky that it does not seem to stop and my life, people in my life, my family, all of it seems to be giving back to me. If any part of that takes more than I can handle, then I learn how to raise a healthy boundary and still I learn and grow and enjoy a theme of Renewal and Recovery and Reviving of an essence of the core of who I am, and who I want to be!

It is simply AMAZING!

Today is of significance to me and I would like to thank everyone in my life who has celebrated this with me in one way or another.

I hope that you, out there, readers, sharing in thoughts and blogs and around water coolers or company galleys or some coffee maker or hot drink dispensary of some kind, I hope you offer a note of thanks and celebration for the people around you and in your life from simple to complex. I am a believer that it all has purpose whether to hold the carpet and floor down or to be part of some larger purpose and goal which you and others may benefit from, one extreme or the other, and hopefully some well thought out general purpose in the middle is the focus for most.

Today is of significance to me, I would be interested to find out or discuss which days are of significance to you! Talk about it, write about it, share about it, as I often express and tell you to do. Pray and meditate as it suites you.

There are many books which are opening up to me and becoming living and breathing pages, I hope you find books and resources in your life which become or are living and breathing pages and messages to you. I hope you are sharing these messages as they come to you with others, as sharing these words and these gifts often lead to movements in the world which will have significance for many more to come.

I hope your messages ring of character, and of peace, and of positive change and uplifting purpose. If the messages you are hearing are negative or destructive, I persuade you to read something else, and have different conversations with different people, please.

There is enough death, destruction, and violence in the world as it is, we need to find more renewal and recovery in the world these days and pass on those messages of hope and light.

I thank all of you for making this Blogtemplation site popular by the numbers, I was amazed at the spikes in visits and your page views, I hope you are benefitting from these words and encouragements.

So, I will end today's Blogtemplation here and hope to write again soon. Happy Wonderful Day to all!
